LaFerrari convertible – a supercar sell-out!

  • by Mike Torpey
  • July 6, 2016

FERRARI has lifted the lid on its stunning new LaFerrari convertible, the limited-edition special series aimed at millionaires and collectors.

The actual name and technical characteristics of the new open top will be announced at the Paris Motor Show in early autumn, as will the number of examples Ferrari will build.

But if even if you’re flush enough to shell out in excess of £1m, hard lines – all available examples have already been flogged following a special preview to clients. So the order book is closed and waxed.

What we know is that the supercar will be available with a removable carbon-fibre hard roof and a removable soft top.

In other words there’s a 6.3-litre V12 engine and electric motor waiting to unleash a savage 950bhp.

Ferrari says extensive modifications have been made to the chassis with the aim of retaining the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness as the coupé version.

And the car’s aerodynamics have also been further honed to guarantee the same drag coefficient when driving in the open configuration.
