Porsche Cayman is back in Black

  • by Mike Torpey
  • October 4, 2015

Lean, mean and menacing – there’s a new variant of the Porsche Cayman preparing to savage its rivals.

As its name suggests, the new Black Edition is distinguished by a combination of a black paint finish and black partial leather interior.

And this 2.7-litre 275bhp mid-engined two-seater comes with some special extra kit fitted as standard.

The 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels with wider tyres increase style and also further boost the Cayman’s dynamic chassis responses while further highlights are Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium side window trims.

Special Black Edition standard equipment includes the Porsche Communication Management with sat-nav, automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control, front and rear ParkAssist and a Sport Design steering wheel.

And for enhanced personal comfort, the driver and passenger enjoy a two-zone climate control system, heated seats and Bluetooth phone connectivity.

There’s also the top quality Sound Package Plus.

Pricing is from £45,989 and customers can explore the potential of their new car by joining a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.

The all-in-black special series from the German brand now includes the Cayman, Boxster and the 911 Carrera – with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive as both a coupe and cabriolet – each distinguished by their standard equipment.
