The new Skoda Enyaq SUV model

SKODA’S new electric Enyaq SUV will cost from £39,000 when it hits UK streets this spring, while Coupe models will start at £46,200.

Entry point to the SUV line-up is the SE L 60 variant while the Coupe bodystyle kicks off with the Edition 85 version. Topping the six-model range is the Enyaq SportLine 85x Coupe at £50,650.

The 60 number represents the 63kWh battery available only in SUV variants while 85 denotes the 82kWh pack available in both SUV and Coupe models.

The revamped line-up sees the Enyaq taking on a more modern design defined by the cars’ glossy black Tech-Deck face with its radar sensors and front camera.

Skoda lettering now replaces the badge on the bonnet while a lit strip, called illuminated Tech-Deck face (standard from SportLine trim), links the upper LED Matrix headlights.

And just below, horizontal LED modules deliver a new interpretation of the Czech brand’s familiar four-eyed SUV light signature.

Move inside and a five‑inch digital cockpit and central 13-inch infotainment display are standard while the redesigned steering wheel is now heated. Keyless entry is also standard along with heated front seats, tri-zone climate control and tow bar preparation on all models.

Trim grades are SE L, Edition and SportLine and every car gets a 13-inch infotainment screen with sat nav, an electric boot and driver assistance systems like Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist Plus and Blind Spot Detection.

With a range of up to 365 miles the new Enyaq also supports rapid charging at DC fast-charging stations, achieving a charge from 10 to 80 per cent in 28 minutes or less, with a maximum charging rate of up to 175 kW.

Luggage capacity ranges from 585 to 1,710 litres in the Enyaq and 570 to 1,610 litres in the Enyaq Coupe.

Four option packages – Advanced, Maxx, Transport and Winter – are up for grabs complemented options such as a panoramic sunroof, tow bar, and a heat pump.

And new Simply Clever features include a QR code in the boot, an ice scraper with a tyre tread depth gauge integrated into the boot door panel, umbrella in the driver’s door compartment and mobile phone pockets on the backs of the front seats.

The boot also offers two bag hooks and a retractable boot cover, which can be operated with a single touch.

Orders open on March 6 and first deliveries are expected later in the spring.
